WILSON

Opening up at the sylvee, they crammed as much high level energy and solid riffs as one would hope on for a live show. Wilson is one a fun band to see live. It could be live version of the band that’s fun, don’t think that the music isn’t quality.

They brought the crowd into a mix of pseudo-hip hop with rock music that lends a fresh sound to the evolving personna of the band. There’s a lot of badass riffs and licks going on that catch you off guard. Seriously, there’s no stopping Wilson’s energy live, Just like a crazy good party.

STEEL PANTHER

As tradition goes, Steel Panther made their holiday stop in Madison for the JJO Yellow Snowball. Steel Panther heated up the Sylvee, as the temperature dropped in Madison. Plenty of hairspray and even more metal f()ckery hits the stage..

For face value, Michael Starr and his voice exemplify the spirit of the 80’s metal acts that the PANTHER personifies. Michael’s vocals are strong, and that’s huge when it comes to matching the founding fathers of the genre. Guitarist Satchel definitely picks up the pace, with his amazing skills and It’s a spectacle to watch this pair on stage, and they won’t leave you disappointed.

The band, Steel Panther, comprised of stellar musicians, playing their sleazy 80’s hair metal characters perfectly, is a show not to be missed live. Starr, presenting a sexy lead singer swagger, Satchel’s crotch bumping and finger licking gestures, Spyder, which at first glance, could have been Nikki Sixx’s stunt double, & Stix killing it behind the set.The band transports you back to the 80’s, with a porn like twist.

Many consider Steel Panther a parody band, because they are so fun to watch and very talented musically speaking. Despite distractions while on stage, (the band pulls 25-30 women from the audience), during Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, they keep composure, and drill through both their originals such as, “Community Property” and “Lexxi’s Mom”, as well as covers of, “You Really Got Me”, “Shout at the Devil” and more.

Thanks to everyone who came out to party at Sylvee! I included the photo that (Photo Credit TStarr Photography) was taken to give you, the reader, an idea of the crowd size.
