Award-Winning Argentinean Pianist Ingrid Fliter to Conclude Concert Series Season at Wisconsin Union

Award-Winning Argentinean Pianist Ingrid Fliter performs at the Wisconsin Union Theater on Sunday, March 29th at 8:00 pm. The program includes Bach’s Italian Concerto in F, BWV 971, Chopin’s Waltz in C-sharp Minor, Op. 64 No. 2, and Schumann’s Symphonic Etudes, Op. 13.

Tickets are $34, $28, and $18 for the general public, $32, $26, and $18 for WAA members, Union members, UW faculty and staff, and non-UW students. As always, UW-Student tickets are only $10! Flitert began playing public recitals at the age of 11 and made her professional orchestra debut at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires at the age of 16. She went on to win first prizes at the Cantu International Competition and the Ferruccio Busoni Competition in Italy and in 2000 was awarded the silver medal at the Frederic Chopin Competition in Warsaw. In 2006, Fliter became the first female recipient of the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award. Her first CD, a compilation of Chopin’s compositions, debuted in April 2008.

This concert is sponsored by the Wisconsin Union Directorate.
