Paper Diamond is Colorado producer Alex B. While expanding the Pretty Lights empire, this release comes to us without samples but with a funky, spunky flair unique to this release. Spacey synthesizers drive the sweet melodies and catchy grooves. This one has that magic touch.

Phutureprimitive is the moniker of producer/song writer Rain who utilizes hypnotic grooves and lush bass heavy textures to provide listeners with dense and detailed electronic compositions. One of my first ‘finds’ on Bandcamp, but one with a huge future thanks to scoring the opening slot for part of Shpongle’s summer Stateside tour. Appearing May 10 at the Majestic Theater in Madison.

David Kuckhermann - The Path of the Metal Turtle

Mesmerizing, serene and thought-provoking acoustic music generated on metal hang drums. These drums have a unique sound and enchant the listener almost immediately. David is a master percussionist and makes playing these drums look simple and easy. As a teacher he offers instructional videos for a wide variety of world instruments.

Zebbler Encanti Experience - Psychic Projections

An audio/visual duo from Boston consisting of Ben ‘Encanti’ Cantil and Peter ‘Zebbler’ Berdovsky.  Encanti takes the lead in musical realms while Zebbler sits as master of all things visual. Together they have woven a frenzy of dynamic compositions that blast through mind-wrenching dubstep drops plateauing in downdempo melodies and cerebral sound progressions.
