This long time gothic band has retooled and reinvigorated their style by adding a substantial electronic element. This change makes for some fertile new musical frontiers and repeated listens.

Blake Lewis - Audio Daydream

Once again a runner up on American Idol scores bigger than the winner. Dynamic and diverse, this release offers a great range of Blake-isms; from beat boxing and alternative pop to soul and hip hop all seen through his pleasant technotronic filters.

Lost Dream - The Lost Dream

This ambitious self-taught multi-instrumentalist composed, arranged, recorded, mixed and produced this release. She also played the entire range of instruments. Attempting to reconcile rock’n’roll with ambient atmospheres around a concept of lost hope sounds good in theory, but unfortunately comes off a bit flaccid and overly subdued.

Jaya Lakshmi - Sublime

Continuing on with her tradition of utilizing top talent and great producers to produce a very NOW direction to her offerings of Bhakti yoga. This Kirtan themed voyage of chant, chill and grace will carry the listener to alcoves of serenity and blissful platitudes.

Liquid Jungle - Tiny Heaven

Prog rock from Atlanta with a serious funk kick and some interesting quirks. The interplay of vocal harmonies amidst the disparate instrumental aptitudes serves to amplify the slurry of intriguing and beguiling musical intensities.

Lion's Share - Emotional Coma

A masterful selection of whirled classic metal riffs with a thrashing power metal type undertow as directed by band mastermind Lars Chriss. Thanks to the distinctive and awesome Dio era vocals of Patrik Johansson (ASTRAL DOORS and WUTHERING HEIGHTS) this album packs a crunchy, satisfying punch!

Leatherwolf - New World Asylum

Megadeth meets Metal Church in this surprisingly good thrash attack throwback. With Mustain-like vocals and kick ass catchy riffs n chops this release will certainly stress my neck well into the future.

Legendary Shack Shakers - Swampblood

Wailing hillbilly psycho swamp rock with a gothic snicker and a bluesy swagger showing off the strange and soulful American South. This is the third and final installment of the “Tentshow Trilogy.” Git sum!

Legendary Pink Dots - Plutonium Blonde

Disquieting platitudes from the sardonic seedy underbelly of pop music adoration. Edward Ka-Spel and crew spin tales of gothic disturbances that uproot and empower unknown musical pathways to your brain.
