Fiction City - Nova

A unique ‘band’ project consisting of two musicians, a visual artist, and a video engineer. Each track is represented by adventurous electronic music, but it also is paired with artwork and other visuals for an experientially rounded musical adventure. The theme they have chosen for this release revolves around an insane maniacal rapist.

Four Tet - There is Love In You

A charming configuration of frequencies and waves that contort and undulate within this field of unexpected electronic compositions. Kieran Hebden is the prolific mastermind who came into the techno arena with a background in minimalist folk and jazz. But, he has somehow morphed his output into this very compelling ambient dance music.

Unwoman - The Fires I Started

Erica Mulkey is Unwoman, a popular and prolific San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter that spices up the strings with electronic beats and attitude. With seven self-produced solo albums and six successful Kickstarter campaigns under her belt, she is turning herself into a musical icon thanks to all the fans she accumulates at the steampunk, goth, and sci-fi-related events that she highlights. 

Seven Kingdoms - The Fire Is Mine

Furious melodic progressive thrash metal with epic choirs is the order of the day for the third release from this Florida group. Led by the amazing female vocals of Sabrina Valentine and recorded at Morrisound Studios by legendary producer Jim Morris (Iced Earth, Obituary, etc) this release has the backbone to explode onto the metal scene and do some serious damage. 

Falcon Punch - Falcon Punch

Quirky, atmospheric and odd-tempo electronica from Toronto. These experimental compositions swing through jazzy, mathy rhythms as easily as spacey soundscapes with strategic samples and brain scratching soundbites.

Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes

Steven Ellison is Flying Lotus (or FlyLo by fans). His experimental laptop compositions are filled with layers of intense expression. The minimalistic beats find a home in jazzy passages of nocturnal awakenings, while subconscious mystical states of unfocused attention draw listeners into journeys of elegant melodic interplay.

Zebbler Encanti Experience - Freakquency

A dynamic and very contemporary combination of styles and sounds including but not limited to dubstep, glitch, psytrance, and trap produce what ZEE have dubbed psytrap. While the effervescent melodies and buoyant bass lines will capture your attention, the manic breaks of tension and release will activate all but the completely comatose. I can’t wait to see this combined with their legendary projection light shows!

Too Many Zooz - Fanimals EP

Redefine your dance moves when you get down to the jagged jazz disturbances generated by this trio composed of trumpet, baritone sax and drums. Honing their craft by blowing peoples minds while subway busking in NYC, TMZ is a squealing barrage of brass over dynamic defining beats that results in an invigorating booty shaking funk-jazz jam session.

Soulacybin - Funkerpump

Liquid beats drip over hyper glitched bass bumps while living in a glistening alien landscape. Squishing upbeat ambiance becomes writhing dance experimentations while abduction fantasies are punctuated by space dub delights and psychedelic planetary perspectives. Yet another delightful Denver treat! 

Ott - Fairchild

Distant warbles of dubtastic goodness are chopped expertly into blissful bubbles of electronica and sizzled with splashes of multi-ethnic relish. Etheric vocals are found amid idiosyncratic wompy bass delicacies and a hyper surreal psychedelic undertow. After a 4 year wait, the English producer known as OTT, with help from a couple dozen or so musicians, has provided us with a wonderful new sonic adventure so we can all explore how to be fairchildren too. Wax Futures - Keep The Memories

Powering up some body flinging rhythms filled with expressive festival style beats and visual treats, this Philadelphia trio blasts out the memories by offering live guitar and bass over synthesized atmospheres complimented by a dedicated visual production person. This tenacious approach has boosted them into the spotlight at many summer festivals already and is sure to launch them into the ears and eyes of listeners for many years and miles to come.

Little Fyodor and Babushka - Truly Rejected

Nothing gives me a hard on more than Little Fyodor and Babushka releasing a 7”! And after 20 years of musical self dejection and fatalistic floundering the duo emerge with another round of hopeless cynical caterwaulings certainly capable of creating an aneurysm in less than one bat shit crazy chord or confounded utterance. You won’t find another like this.
