Filmmaker Trevor Banks, a Madison-native now based in NYC, joins host Teri Barr to talk about his efforts to save the story of Clyde Stubblefield, best known as the funky drummer in the James Brown Band.

Trevor is working on a documentary about Clyde called “Give the Drummer Some,” and tells Teri it will include the highs and lows of his life, along with why he was a beloved part of the Madison music community.

You can also see some video and interviews shot exclusively for the documentary, and shared as part of this podcast. Plus, learn who is getting behind this opportunity to share Clyde’s life and his work as an important piece of music history.

The Maximum Ink Music Magazine Podcast is a new, regular video podcast focused on musicians and artists with a tie to Wisconsin. Hosted by Teri Barr, a long-time scribe for Maximum Ink Music Magazine’s award-winning print version. Teri is also a live music enthusiast and supporter.
