***PUBLISHER'S MESSAGE: This is the "beta" version of our new website. It was developed from the ground up using ExpressionEngine technology that lets our readers "sort" through our articles in a new way to find out about the artists Maximum Ink has covered since the original launch in 1996.

Keep in mind that this new site is still in the "beta" mode, and some sort results may come up "blank" as all of our articles and reviews have not been ported over to this new site. There are enough, however, to give a good feel of how this new site works and sorts information.

Sorting is a new feature, you can click the different sorts in the sidebars and table of contents pages to bring up articles and calendar listings in different ways, by month, by year, by first letter of band or last name, and more. Just click around and enjoy the results, the "lightbulb" moment of navigation structure should come naturally, we hope. ;)

Continual updates will occur, adding articles, reviews, news and blogs regularly, as well as design and structure repairs and additions. Features like search, related articles, photo galleries and many more are forthcoming. Please enjoy your "live" vantage point as we further develop this site to serve you our vast archive of editorial, as well as the current issue on the streets.

Anyone wishing to submit "error" notices (this is beta) please email webmaster (at) maximumink (dot) com and we'll do our best to track it down and fix it. This site is a very large project and we appreciate your help with this grand cause. We already are aware of a few "glitches" between the Firefox and Microsoft browser, but those traitors will be dealt with.

Our new technology will allow our staff to update the site on a regular basis and keep it updated on a much more regular basis, allow for commenting for each review, article, news item or blog,

In no way is this site finished, the development process will continue on a regular basis. Thank you for your patience while we grow.

ABOUT MAXIMUM INK

Maximum Ink music magazine has been published in print and online since March 7, 1996. Based in Madison, Max Ink is distributed throughout the major population centers of Wisconsin including but not limited to Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Waukesha, Wausau, Stevens Point, Lacrosse, Janesville and zillions of smaller points.

Maximum Ink features interviews, reviews, previews and articles on international, national, regional and local bands of all genres. We will be adding our back log of archives constantly as there are over 2000 in the vault!!

Maximum Ink's Live Music Calendar features live music schedules and profiles of live music venues, bars, clubs and festivals that occur in and around Wisconsin. The calendar is now sortable in many different ways including by city, quadrant and alphabetically. Club calendar profiles include much new information including weather, menu and wireless info for the club as well as Google map, description, picture and directions. As our new site is still "a work in progress" please keep checking as we add the hundreds of clubs from our print calendar to our website.

Advertising in Maximum Ink reaches a unique audience both in print and online. Advertisers benefit greatly by knowing that readers of Maximum Ink are interested in seeing live music, buying CDs and MP3's, eating at restaurants, and purchasing products that appeal to music lovers and makers. Please see our advertising section for more information, rates and specs.

Deadlines for Maximum Ink advertising and calendar is the third Friday of every month at 5pm. Maximum Ink's calendar only accepts live music calendars from live music venues, bars and clubs as that's the way we sort our calendar. Volunteers and Interns are regularly accepted at Maximum Ink. Many journalists, photographers and graphic artists have used Maximum Ink as a stepping stone on their way up. Their experience at Maximum Ink is always a plus on any resume. Work from your own home, anywhere on the planet with your own computer.
